Hey awesome Pilots, get your pad & pencils ready to take down some MGRS coordinates. Among some other tasks, your a mobile SAM killer & only have your Patrol to guide you to the Target area. With a AAR this should take you no more than an hour & I would difficulty rate this around 7/10. I hope you enjoy :o)
NOT FAR FROM DAMASCUS OUR JTAC UNIT "AXEMAN" HAS REPORTED AN ENEMY BUILD UP OF ARMOUR & MORE SERIOUSLY A SUBSTANTIAL NUMBER OF AIR DEFENCE UNITS. THE SAMS ID ARE.. ONE STATIONARY OSA SA-8 UNIT, A MOBILE SA-15 TOR ON PATROL MANEUVERS & ALSO THREE SAMS EMBEDDED WITHIN A SEVEN ARMOURED COLUMN PATROLLING THE AREA. THE SAMS IN THE COLUMN ARE A ZEUS SHILKA, A SA-13 STRELA & ALSO A SA-19 TUNGUSKA & THEY ARE ALL CAUSING HAVOC FOR OUR AC IN THE AREA. WE ALSO HAVE REPORTS FROM OUR SECOND PATROL UNIT "DARKNIGHT" OF A BUILDING THAT'S BEEN CONVERTED INTO A SMALL "IED" MAKING FACILITY. FINALLY AWACS "OVERLORD" OUR EYE IN THE SKY HAS NOTICED A SU-27 "FLANKER-B" IN THE VICINITY OF AN-NASIRIYAH..

This mission was designed for the F/A-18 Hornet and F-14B Tomcat to practice the following:
1) Super Carrier Landings
2) Aerial Refueling
3) Air to Air delivery
4) Air to Ground delivery with any weapon
5) JTAC
6) Formation Flying (They constantly talk and grade you)
7) Voice Overs throughout any activities

I fly in VR and this is one of my fav mission because of the 20 songs you can pick from playing over the radio channels and great clouds.

For the F-14 and F/A-18 BVR there are four groups of cargo plane targets at 50 nautical miles, 100 nm, 140 nm, 180 nm, and they alternate between head to tail closure or perpendicular aspect angles so you can practice how this effects the radar returns.  Pop-up events are included if you choose to engage with ACM.

For air to ground, just pick a loadout that has an ordinance that you want to use.  The target zone is defended by Air defenses so if you want to practice without this threat, use the Coms Menu and select the Wild Weasel using F10 men
